How do I add a Project?

To add a new Project, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the Projects tab at the bottom of the screen..
  2. Tap the + button.
  3. If you have a photo related to the Project that you want to use as a cover image for the Project, tap the Pick a Cover Photo button. You can either select an existing photo, or take a new one with your phone's camera. (Note that you may be asked to give PaintFlow permission to access your photo library.)
  4. Enter the Project Name. This will be the name that appears on the Projects tab. Give the Project a meaningful name that helps you quickly identify it.
  5. Tap the Client Name field and select a Client to associate with the Project. (If the Client has not yet been added, choose +Add New and fill out the Client Record.)
  6. Tap the Contact Name field and select the name of the person who is your primary point of contact for the Project. (This can be a Homeowner or a Contractor.)
  7. Enter the Project Address. This is the address of the worksite.
  8. Use the Address Notes field to note parking restrictions or anything else that you need to know before arriving on site. The entry in this field can use up to 250 characters.
  9. In the Year Property Was Built field, enter the year in which the home or building was constructed. This is pertinent to the next field.
  10. For a home or building that was constructed prior to 1979, note whether or not it has been tested for lead. If it has been tested, indicate whether it tested positive or negative.
  11. Tap one or more of the options for Property Status. Once tapped, you can remove an option by tapping it again.
  12. In the Timeline section, enter the Start Date for the project. You can also use one of the buttons to quickly populate the date.
  13. Use the Project Notes to add any other important details about the Project. The entry in this field can use up to 900 characters.
  14. To finish, tap the Save Project button.

The new Project will now appear on the Projects tab and will be in the "Build Project" status.
